Call for Fellowship Nominations

Each year, the Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum (WWLF) proudly opens nominations for its Fellowship Program, an initiative that has continued to evolve and expand in its mission to empower emerging professionals in the telecommunications industry.

This year, we’re taking the program to new heights—offering even more mentorship, leadership development, and industry exposure to help rising professionals thrive and lead with confidence.

With a focus on growth, connection, and impact, this program is designed to equip the next generation of telecom leaders with the tools and opportunities to shape the future. One outstanding recipient will be selected for this career-changing opportunity!

How to apply:

The deadline for applications is March 31, 2025.

  • Winner will be announced the week of April 14th.
  • Connect (X) event is May 12-14, 2025 in Chicago, IL at McCormick Place Convention Center.
  • Fellowship winner recognized May 14th at WWLF's annual event.

Benefits include:

  • Complimentary WWLF membership for duration of term (if already a member when selected, the remainder of her pre-existing membership term will resume following completion of the Fellowship term)
  • Featured on the WWLF website as Award winner
  • Pairing with a Mentor for duration of term
  • Pairing with WIA Mentors during Connect(X)

    Participation in a WWLF Committee (to be selected by the WWLF Board)
  • (6) Executive Leadership Coaching sessions, (1) Informational session with by Dr. Tamika Ellington.

  • All-expenses-paid trip to Connect (X) (value of $1,500)
  • Discounted membership for one full year following award term
  • Award Winners will provide a “testimonial” at the end of the term and will complete a survey about the WWLF fellowship experience

Fellowship Nominee Requirements

  • Nominee must be a woman
  • Nominee must be employed in the wireless industry for FEWER than 5 years, or entering the industry
  • Nominees may or may not be a current WWLF member at time of award
  • Nominee cannot be chosen as a recipient for two consecutive years
  • Consistently attend monthly one-on-one meetings with Mentor (either in-person or via phone
  • Provide meeting logs and other required deliverables as described in the Mentorship information packet
  • Fully prepare for each Mentorship meeting (including completion of any homework/deliverables that Mentor assigned)
  • Attend at least two networking events with Mentor
  • Work at WWLF booth and event registration table, participate in comprehensive WIA itinerary, and otherwise represent WWLF however deemed appropriate during WIA
  • Actively participate in one WWLF Committee for duration of term. Participation updates will be provided by Committee Chair
  • Complete quarterly call with Mentorship Chairperson
  • Provide photo for WWLF website and email blast announcing Fellowship recipient
  • Complete end-of-term questionnaire and testimonial

Note: If either Fellowship Award Recipient or Mentor does not fulfill the requirements noted above, the applicable trips to Connect (X) may be revoked.
