Established in 2024, Telecom Trailblazers is an initiative launched by WIA and the Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum to encourage STEM learning, teach young women about digital infrastructure and inspire them to pursue careers in telecommunications.
Telecom Trailblazers offers fun, hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematical challenges to promote STEM learning, confidence, and identity in girls, with the goal of sparking interest in telecom and broadband infrastructure.
Students engage in immersive field trips, telecom lab visits, and hands-on classroom workshops to see how connectivity powers the modern world.
Women leaders and industry experts provide mentorship and career panels that help students envision their own futures in STEM.
Interactive challenges—including tower-building simulations, fiber-splicing demos, AI modules, and VR career exploration—bring learning to life.
Ongoing engagement connects students to mentors, internships, scholarships, and professional networks.
Together, we are closing the gender gap in telecommunications and building a more inclusive digital future.
