    Join Annette Mahoney, WWLF Member and Specification Program Manager at FiRa Consortium, Inc., for an engaging introduction to prompt engineering. Learn the basics of crafting effective prompts for generative AI tools like ChatGPT and discover practical strategies for enhancing productivity. This session will explore applications such as refining resumes and cover letters, drafting "About Me" blurbs, organizing ideas for documents, and managing tone in challenging emails.

    Lean In Circle 

    The WWLF Pittsburgh Lean In Circle would be a dedicated space for women in the wireless and telecommunications industry to foster personal and professional growth. These quarterly meetings would combine educational content with networking opportunities, aligning with WWLF’s mission to support women leaders and advance their careers.

    The WWLF Pittsburgh Lean In Circle is a supportive community of women in the wireless and telecommunications industry that fosters personal and professional growth. As part of the Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum, our Circle provides a space to connect, share experiences, and empower one another to achieve career ambitions and overcome challenges unique to women in the field.

    Through regular meetings, interactive discussions, and shared resources, we aim to:

    • Build confidence and leadership skills.
    • Create a network of mentorship and collaboration.
    • Address industry-specific challenges like gender bias and career advancement.

    The mission of the WWLF Pittsburgh Lean In Circle is to empower women in the wireless and telecommunications industry to achieve their fullest potential. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive space where members can build meaningful connections, gain valuable insights, and develop the confidence and skills necessary to excel personally and professionally.

    Through mentorship, collaboration, and shared learning, we aim to inspire women to lead boldly, break barriers, and contribute to shaping a more equitable and innovative industry.

    Meeting Goals and Structure

    Each quarterly meeting will include the following elements:

    1. Educational Component: A workshop, presentation, or panel discussion on leadership development, overcoming workplace challenges, negotiating effectively, or navigating industry trends.
    2. Networking Opportunity: This is a time for members to build relationships, share experiences, and connect with one another in a supportive environment.
    3. Actionable Takeaways: Each meeting will provide participants with resources, tools, or goals to apply their knowledge to their careers.

    Heather Moyer is the Founder, President & CEO of HNM Systems, a tech-enabled professional services provider in telecom, energy, and technology. Under her leadership, HNM has grown revenue 25x and earned multiple spots on the Inc. 5000 list.

    Previously, she was an executive at a staffing firm, driving 900% growth and securing a spot on San Diego’s 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list each year.

    An active philanthropist, she serves on the board of Echo in the Valley and is a member of the PEERS Network and YPO. Recognized as a "Top 40 Under 40" honoree, she was also a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s CEO and Business Woman of the Year awards. A Forbes Business Council member, she was recently nominated at the LA Times Inspirational Women Awards.

    Beyond her career, Heather is a devoted wife, mother of two, and embodies leadership, resilience, and compassion in all she does.

    About Leticia Latino van-Splunteren


    Leticia Latino van-Splunteren is a distinguished corporate executive with over 25 years of expertise in technology-driven industries. Her extensive experience spans Technology, Telecom, Software, and Infrastructure, with a focus on entering new international markets, fostering innovation, driving growth, and leading transformative initiatives. Currently, she serves as the President and CEO of NEPTUNO USA, CORP, a leading Telecom Infrastructure Provider since 1972, with over 10,000 Telecom Towers and Sites in the Americas. Leticia began her career at Merrill Lynch before transitioning to Northern Telecom (NORTEL).

    Her accolades include 2024 5050 Women to Watch for Boards, 2023 Telecom CEO (Americas) by UK’s AI Success, 2023 30 Most Influential Leaders in Tech by Insight Success, 2023 Most Connected Women in Telecom by Conecta Latam, and 2022 Smart Disruptor by Smart Cities Miami.  She chaired the FCC Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee Jobs and Skills Training Working Group (2018-2020), served on the FCC Equity and Diversity Committee, and was appointed to the Telecommunications Interagency Committee. She also serves on several boards, including the National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA).

    In addition, Leticia is a published author, public speaker, mentor to young women and a big advocate of nurturing “Human Connections”.

    Collaboration and Belonging: Building Relationships in the Workplace

    In the midst of our world seemingly being more broken apart by war and politics, the human factor is getting lost. Dr. Tameka Ellington will present strategies for building connection and relationships to promote workplace success and reignite the humanness in us all.  

     

    Dr. Tameka obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion from KSU, a Master of Arts in Apparel and Textile Design from Michigan State University, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from KSU. Dr. Tameka is CEO and Founder of Dr. Tameka Ellington Enterprises, a personal and professional development company. She is a speaker, internationally acclaimed and awarded fashion scholar, and confidence coach. She’s the author of five books, including the award-winning book, TEXTURES: the history and art of Black hair written for its namesake exhibition co-curated by Dr. Tameka, featuring artifacts and contemporary artworks musing on Black hair and Black culture. Dr. Tameka is also the host of the Black Beauty Activist Podcast where she has critical conversations with her guests to disrupt Westernize beauty standards and raise the consciousness and confidence of Black women.  While working in the academy, she served as Assistant Dean for the College of the Arts and Director for Diversity Initiatives for a team of over 3,000 people (faculty, staff, and students). Dr. Tameka is dedicated to empowering her clients to achieve new levels of self-confidence, and helping them break down cultural barriers in their personal and professional lives. Her motto is ,“On the other side of fear is your beautiful confidence.”

    Join the Women's Wireless Leadership Forum for a Special Pittsburgh Earth Day Volunteer Event with Tree Pittsburgh!

    Celebrate Earth Day with us as we give back to the community and support a greener future! The Women's Wireless Leadership Forum (WWLF) is partnering with Tree Pittsburgh for a hands-on volunteer event at their Heritage Nursery in Lawrenceville.

     What We’ll Be Doing:

    Volunteers will assist the Tree Adoption Team in preparing containerized trees for adoption. Over the weekend, these trees will be distributed to local residents, helping to increase Pittsburgh’s urban canopy!

     Event Highlights:
     Work alongside Tree Pittsburgh staff to pull and prepare trees for adoption
     Take a well-deserved break under the covered Pole Barn for lunch 
     Connect with like-minded professionals in an eco-friendly setting
     Contribute to a meaningful sustainability initiative in Pittsburgh

     Volunteer Information:
     Group Size: Up to 20 volunteers
      Physical Activity: Volunteers should be comfortable walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
     What to Wear/Bring:

    • Clothes you don’t mind getting muddy/dirty
    • Close-toed shoes or boots
    • Refillable water bottle and snacks/lunch
    • All tools, gloves, and protective gear will be provided

     Rain or Shine: The event will take place in all weather conditions, with a rain plan for alternative tasks if needed.

     Check-in Process: Volunteers should pre-register online. Upon arrival, check in with the Tree Adoption Team. Walk-up volunteers will be required to complete registration forms on-site.

    Come get your hands dirty and make a lasting impact on Pittsburgh’s urban forest. We can’t wait to see you there!
